Terms and Conditions

By accessing our website, creating an account, booking a class, purchasing a membership, or attending any session at Satya Sanctuary (“the Studio”) you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully,

Memberships

  • All memberships have a minimum 3 month contractual term

  • After the minimum period, memberships renew on a rolling monthly basis

  • Cancellations require a minimum of 30 days written notice submitted by email or our cancellation form. This is the same for downgrading memberships.

  • Payments already processed cannot be refunded, including where notice is given after the billing date.

  • Memberships are non-refundable and non transferable unless required by law

  • The Studio may amend membership pricing or benefits with 30 days notice

  • Details specific to each membership type form part of these Terms and Conditions (see Memberships page here)

Class Bookings & Cancellations

  • All classes must be booked in advance through our online booking system

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the class start time

  • Cancellations within 24 hours count as Late Cancellations and the class credit is forfeited

  • No-shows will also result in full forfeiture of the class

  • Unlimited Members who repeatedly late cancel or no show may face booking restrictions. Please see the Memberships page for further details here

  • If the Studio cancels a class the credit will be returned to your studio account

Late arrivals

  • For safety reasons, late entry may not be permitted once a class has started, this is at the individual teachers discretion and their decision stands

  • If refused entry due to lateness, the class is still deducted from your allowance.

Studio Use and Equipment

  • Clients agree to use studio equipment responsibly and follow instructor guidance

  • Damage caused by improper or negligent use may be chargeable

  • The Studio reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who behaves in a way that is unsafe or disruptive

Health, Safety and Assumption of Risk

By attending the Studio, you agree to the following:

  • You participate in all activities voluntarily and entirely at your own risk

  • You confirm that you are medically fit to take part in Yoga, Pilates or any activities you have signed up to

  • You must notify the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy or changes to your health

  • If pregnant, post partum or under medical care, you agree to seek medical clearance before attending.

  • The Studio and its instructors accept no liability for injury, illness, loss or damage occurring before, during or after classes or while on Studio premises, except where required by law

  • You expressly waive any claim against the Studio arising from accidental or unforeseeable injury

Personal belongings

  • All personal belongings are brought to the Studio entirely at your own risk

  • The Studio accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage of belongings

Workshops, Courses, Events and Retreats

  • Workshops, courses, special events and retreats are non-refundable unless cancelled by the Studio

  • Transfers may be offered at our discretion but are not guaranteed

Reformer Pilates & Specialist Rooms

  • Reformer Sessions have strict capacity limits, availability is not guaranteed

  • The standard 24 hour cancellation policy applies unless otherwise stated

  • Misuse of equipment or failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal without refund

Recovery Room & Studio Hire

  • Room hire fees must be paid in full on booking and are non-refundable

  • Hirers must leave the space clean, undamaged and returned to its original set up

  • Additional charges may apply for cleaning or repairs

  • The studio is not responsible for injuries, losses or damages occurring during third-party hire

Payments & Outstanding Balances

  • All payments must be made through our approved payment system

  • If a membership payment fails, studio access may be suspended until resolved

  • If a membership is cancelled with the bank, then if you attempt to re-join the previous payment will be taken from your account to cover any missed payments from the previous cancellation period

  • The Studio may recover unpaid fees including reasonable administrative or recovery cost using a third party, this may affect your credit rating

Studio Operations, Closures & Schedule Changes

  • The Studio may amend classes, substitute instructors or temporarily close when necessary. If a substitute teacher is put in place the class will not be refunded and any cancellations within 24 hours will be treated as late cancels

  • In cases such as weather events, emergencies or maintenance, we will make reasonable efforts to offer alternatives but are not required to provide refunds unless legally obligated

Instructors and Freelance Contractors

  • All instructors, teachers, therapists and practitioners operating at the studio are self employed independent contractors not employees or agents of the studio

  • Each instructor is solely responsible for the services they provide, including but not limited to; the content of their classes or sessions, their professional conduct, communication and opinions, any advice or guidance they offer, their own professional insurance and qualifications

  • The Studio is not liable for the actions, behaviour, omissions, advice, opinions or individual teaching methods of any self-employed instructor

  • Any concerns or disputes relating to an instructors conduct or service must be raised with the studio

  • The Studio does not accept responsibility for any injury, loss or dissatisfaction arising from the actions or advice of the self-employed practitioners except where required by law

Code of Conduct

  • We maintain a respectful inclusive environment

  • Aggressive, discriminatory or disruptive behaviour may result in removal and/or immediate membership termination without refund

Privacy & Data Protection

  • The Studio complies with applicable data protection laws e.g. GDPR

  • Personal data is only used for bookings, communication and operational purposes

  • We do not sell or share personal information except where essential for business operations or required by law

Amendments to these terms

  • The Studio may update these Terms at any time

  • The most current version will always appear on this page

  • Continuing to use Studio Services signifies acceptance of updated Terms

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
